Lorens Project

I now think there is little Loren can't do. As much as he says his Dad can pretty much build anything, I'm pretty sure he got the same exact genes. Loren took on my Grandmothers 1886 Mathushek Piano this past year. The paint job was really dull after all these years, some of the ivory keys missing and chipped. There was a missing pedal, several internal things were in desperate need of help and this was the finished result. He stripped the paint, sanded it all down and added three coats of paint, replaced the keys, fixed the broken pedal, a few things on the inside, and put on a new logo. Every spare second he's had the past month or so, he's been finishing it! It turned out fabulous and I'm so grateful to have a wonderful piano to play on! The tuner came the other day and said that the piano in its day would be the equivalent of a 80-90 thousand dollar piano, it was played by a professional entertainer at one time so it must have been a good one! He also said Loren did a better job putting on the keys than most of the guys that do this for a profession!! For someone who doesn't even play the piano, I was super impressed with how it turned out... Thanks babe!!
