Decisions Decisions

Right now on my Ebay account I am watching a Nikon D80 SLR digital Camera. Cost $800. Loren lets me keep a big chunk of money from coaching track to just have some money I can spend for me with no limitations. I cannot decide if I want to spend it all on this!! I know if I don't, I'll end up spending it on dinky little things I don't need or want, and for a long time I have been looking at this camera with hopes of one day being able to get it. It's the best camera you can buy under 1000$ and I've had an interest in photography for a while... BUT... Can I reconcile 800 big ones!!?? What would you do????

I would absolutely do it! I spent $600 on a Canon Rebel and I have never once regretted it. The pictures turn out SO nice, it seriously takes no skill at all with these cameras and everyone in my ward wants me to do their family pictures. AND they pay.

I am having the same delima. I've saved some money and can't decide if I want to use it for a nice camera or on some living room furniture considering I have had an empty living room for over 3 years! :) But, kids are only little once - go for it! Let me know how you like it if you end up buying it!

Get it. I would LOVE to have that kind of $$ to spend on something fun, and you'll never regret all the beautiful pics you'll be able to take of your kids. I hate my camera...by the time it actually takes a picture, most of the time, Rebecca has turned her head and it's so hard to get a good picture of her! I'm sure the camera you're looking at takes high quality FAST pictures. Get it! I'm so jealous!!!!
